Paris Hilton reported to jail on Sunday night, two days before her court-ordered deadline, according to a press release issued at 11:20pm last night. Paris Hilton has officially become a resident of the Lynwood Century Regional Detention Facility and she should be released within the week. Paris is in for a change of pace during the jail time she was ordered to serve after police caught her behind the wheel of her Bentley without a valid license earlier this year, violating probation for a prior drunken-driving offence. Many women at the Los Angeles County jail where Paris Hilton is expected to arrive any day are already angry at the socialite, a former inmate said. Susannah Johnson, who was released Saturday after a one-day stay at the jail, said inmates were angry at Hilton, believing officials were making room for the starlet at the expense of other inmates already coping with crowded conditions in the 2,200-bed jail."The only advice I could give her when she comes is to shut her mouth and do the time." Girls behaving badly? Nearly every day, the wild antics of Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Britney Spears and Mischa Barton make headlines around the world and cement the starlets' reputations as Hollywood's hardest-partying young celebrities. These days, there is no hiding the illicit behavior, thanks to Hollywood's aggressive paparazzi. Hilton will forsake her designer clothes, cellphone and other accessories - along with her freedom and privacy - for an orange jumpsuit and a small, Spartan cell with twin bunks and metal toilet (no seat, no lid). Paris will not be allowed to give television interviews while serving her jail sentence and aggressive steps have been taken to prevent cameras from being smuggled into the facility. Designers were ordered to Hilton's home on Monday to give her a pre-jail makeover. Rush and Malloy reported Hilton plans to keep a jailhouse diary to be published after her release. When the judge sentenced her, she appeared genuinely shocked that the consequences of flagrantly ignoring probation conditions applied to her. For Hilton, privilege, wealth and fame appear to be an intoxicating insulator from real-world rules and consequences. A panic button seems to be the best that Paris Hilton's going to get. The heiress, spotted out in LA toting a self-help book called The Power Of Now along with The Holy Bible. Someone found it a good idea to arm Paris with a "panic device giving her a 24-hour link to prison guards in case she encounters trouble when she begins her prison sentence. The jail's spokesman Steve Whitmore had previously stated that Ms Hilton would "be treated like any other inmate who's classified as a low-level security risk." Despite this statement, Paris gets her 24-hour alarm and will be kept in the prison's 'special needs' unit, which is reserved for high-profile inmates. Paris has said that she's "really scared" to report to the Century Regional Detention Center in suburban Lynwood, California on this week. The jail houses about 2,200 women, but officials have said Hilton will be kept away from the general population. Barbara Walters said she has visions of the hotel heiress co-hosting on "The View." The Duchess of York Fergie "also sent a personal note to Paris, saying that while she could not condone her probation violation, "She knows that you hit obstacles in life and that you can pull out of them." Before the 26-year-old was jailed for driving on a suspended licence following a drink driving offence, the Duchess said the heiress needed to start accepting responsibility for her actions, given her public profile.
