Description: Early on Tuesday morning Lohan was arrested and taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test. Lohan was unable to walk a straight line, touch her nose or follow a small light with her eyes. Police said she registered a blood-alcohol level of about 0.12, well above the California limit of 0.08. Lohan was booked on suspicion of drunken driving, possession of cocaine, bringing a controlled substance into custody and driving on a suspended license. She was released after posting a bond. Lohan's lawyer, Blair Berk, confirmed that her client had relapsed. "Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease," Berk said in a statement Tuesday. Berk said Lohan was once again receiving treatment. Police said Tuesday they received the early morning call from the driver of a black Cadillac Escalade identified as the mother of Lohan's former personal assistant who said she was being chased by a white Denali SUV. Police located both SUVs in the parking lot of Santa Monica's Civic Auditorium. When the officers approached the Denali they recognized Lohan as the driver. Police say Lohan and the woman were in a "heated debate." Lohan had been set to promote the $12 million movie "I Know Who Killed Me," on The Tonight Show Tuesday night, but her appearance was abruptly canceled shortly after her arrest. Last month anchor Mika Brzezinski refused to read a story on Paris Hilton's release from jail after serving time for violating probation. CNN news anchor Jack Cafferty today asked for a story on yesterday's arrest of Lindsay Lohan to be removed from his teleprompter. Share with friends
