Description:
1.44 min clip of 966Mb compressed down to 17.82Mb using DivX. The strange hiss in the audio is heavy rain falling outside on the balcony. More here at http://www.welcometowallyworld.com/DivX/ Music is "I'm Going" - kind permission of my Australian mate Mick Hart (supported Van Morrison recently here in Paris) |

KenwoodKlown ::: Favorites Don't quite understand the tech stuff but cute video nonetheless! 07-08-24 06:26:14 _____________________________________________________
wallyworld ::: Favorites Its simple. When you shoot a long file it ends up being over the 100Mb YouTube limit. And on HDV you use even more gigs. This short video was originally nearly I Gig - huge. After compression it's now only 17.5. And the quality is quite good. Looks even better on Daily Motion on my site. 07-08-24 06:52:01 _____________________________________________________
KenwoodKlown ::: Favorites Ahhh! I get it now...Hence the term "compression." Jeez Mal, if I had a brain I'd be dangerous! What are your thoughts of the new comment thingy do they got now? I think I like it. 07-08-24 09:17:04 _____________________________________________________
NutCheese ::: Favorites I am offended... he is such a doll! 07-08-24 11:41:14 _____________________________________________________
wallyworld ::: Favorites I think it just complicates things. I think they should put their resources into getting rid of the spammers - blocking their IPs would be a start and then they should "permanently suspend" all those YouTube accounts that are getting paid to leave the spam. And they should throw that twat Blunty3000 off while they're at it. 07-08-24 11:55:23 _____________________________________________________
katalina2007 ::: Favorites Charlie is SO adorable! Good to see that he takes his guitar lessons seriously! LOL! He digs that song...he is gonna grow up speaking English AND French. FANTASTIC! 07-08-24 14:40:03 _____________________________________________________

NihilistZealot ::: Favorites I have been using divx for awhile, gotta love it. 07-08-25 16:27:15 _____________________________________________________
wallyworld ::: Favorites There's a guy (Goyomora) getting good results using "Total Video Converter" converting the file to FLV (Flash) before uploading to YouTube. But it takes a minute or so to load and I hate that. Also I couldn't download it to my Mac. 07-08-25 17:00:38 _____________________________________________________
goyomora ::: Favorites Nice! =D You have a mac, did you try H.264? IMO opinion is much better than DivX. Greetings! -Greg 07-08-26 00:53:30 _____________________________________________________
wallyworld ::: Favorites Yep. Its good on DV footage but not so good on HDV through iMovie. And the file is too big. BUT I can compress with H264 and then transfer it on to DivX. 07-08-26 02:13:40 _____________________________________________________
flasherfac ::: Favorites you should use h.264 and some color correction the 3way color correcttion too in finalcut 07-08-27 11:34:49 _____________________________________________________
wallyworld ::: Favorites I've been using H264 and iMovie. I have FinalCutStudio but haven't got up to speed on it - Imovie is so easy to use. I haven't got the time to be mucking around colour-correcting and the like - especially for just a crap YouTube video. What interest me about this is the enormous compression you can achieve - EASILY. You just drag your file into the DIVX converter, if its too long you select the size and away you go. 07-08-27 12:27:45 _____________________________________________________ |
