CyDaSnake ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 21:32:04 Its Beetle, not Beatle. __________________________________________________
CyDaSnake ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 21:31:34 35 mpg ain't bad for an older car that was made out of metal. __________________________________________________
buzzboy7 ::: Favorites 2007-12-03 07:14:55 It would have made soo much more sense. The beatle is geared 1-2-4-5 it feels. If I had a tach I could tell you some numbers but it feels like I rev 2nd awefuly high. __________________________________________________
Jaydeeman20 ::: Favorites 2007-12-02 14:47:02 Oh yah dude, I forgot about gear ratio. I wonder why they have never put a 5 speed gear box in? __________________________________________________
buzzboy7 ::: Favorites 2007-12-02 12:39:24 One of the biggest downsides to the beatles, in terms of mpgs, is the gear ratio. Each gear must be revved very high to shift into the next if you want any acceleration at all. The vw could have probably gotten better mpgs with a little bigger engine. __________________________________________________
Jaydeeman20 ::: Favorites 2007-10-18 19:27:13 Im curious, since beetles have like a 1600cc engine wouldn't it get better mileage? VW did made electronical in the 70's or 80's in around that time... fuel injection to be adaptible on mostly any vehicle. It might have courage enought to reach 37 MPG on level surfaces/ below 50 degrees/ and going at least 55 MPH... __________________________________________________
licornenoire ::: Favorites 2007-10-06 13:31:50 My ten and a half year old 1.1 petrol Peugeot 106,does near 60mpg, with not that much 'economical driving'. I had beetle 1974 1303 back in the 80's I'm (fairly)sure I was getting 35 mpg.... I'm not knocking the beetle, I love the older one's.... As for the 'new' beetle..... __________________________________________________
iceland2000 ::: Favorites 2007-09-22 16:52:13 50mpg? maybe oil? __________________________________________________

turbobugga ::: Favorites 2007-09-17 01:06:20 i feel guilty! my 1960 turbo drinks at a rate of 14 MPG(maybe more)! and for mr. lucaskunk 50 mpg cmon you smoking something GOOD! __________________________________________________

luccaskunk ::: Favorites 2007-07-18 01:41:32 My '75 superbeetle gets 50mpg on the highway, 35 in the city... Kinda weird... Especially since my engine has a lumpy cam and the whole thing is tuned for street racing. __________________________________________________
buzzdav4 ::: Favorites 2007-07-08 16:23:10 These films are inspiring me to resuscitate my '62 Type I, right-hand-drive. Cool but worn. __________________________________________________
