dac10012 ::: Favorites 2007-12-06 06:35:36 Out of sync? Not that I can tell. Anyway, drummer Pete York was the only band member to stay with Spencer Davis after Steve Winwood and his bass player brother Muff left in 1967. __________________________________________________

dac10012 ::: Favorites 2007-11-13 21:53:38 This is the seminal song that to this day is the quintessential rock song. It gets you up and keeps you there. The energy is inescapable and the spirit is immortal. Enjoy a treasure that is uplifting and everlasting. Rock on! __________________________________________________
remingtonride ::: Favorites 2007-11-11 14:09:35 Wow. It impresses me no end how, 40 years later, his vocal still sounds dead on. His pitch is perfect, but it's the taste, and perhaps understatement, that's remarkable: he sounds killer. No silly gestures and gee-haws and vanities one would expect looking back that far. Also impressive is how he looks right -- isn't behaving in a way that may have seemed cool at the time, but looks foolish in retrospect. And, oh yeah, I'm talking about Winwood, as this is his show. __________________________________________________ |
