Oh, absolutely not! I just wanted to clarify what I was thinking a bit more. :) Some of the scenes in the series were staged a lot like the musical was and I remember noticing a few other lines that struck me as reminiscent of the musical. :)

Oh, I know. :) (I did my last thesis on Rochester's love for Jane and that scene was a key element.) That the writers would include that particular line in the series struck me as a nod to the musical, especially after the other few things I saw while watching it. :)

Has anyone else noticed the amount of references to "Jane Eyre; The Musical" in this mini-series? Especially that line "Jane Eyre's love would have been my best reward"! Anyone else think so?
