I don't get why you have two channels (Lensei), especially when you're cutting back on both of them. Why not just have one channel?

Because I still like a certain level of plausible deniability? :P All in all, I don't think I'm doing anything drastic - just a bit of housecleaning, removing the dumbest videos. I'll still be making videos every so often, whenever the fancy strikes me.

Lol, precisely. Maybe I should private that video too...:P It's good practice, anyway. If I'm ever going into politics, I need to be able to reflexively explain things in a way that enlightens rather than offends.

There's no such thing as bad publicity. I'm not saying you should become Ann Coultare, or Howard Stern, but I don't necessarily believe you should fear bad press. You have a lot of innovative things to say and shouldn't stop because of fear of bad press. But if you've grown tired of the drama, that's a different story and I fully understand. Peace.

While it's true that Howard Stern enjoys publicity, don't compare him to Ann Colter. Ann Colter is a vicious, mean-spirited, evil viper. Howard is a vocal apponent of the war in Iraq, hates George Bush, is in favour of gay marriage, etc., etc.

I was just trying to use comparisons on both sides of the political spectrum. The point being that both of them have learned to use negative publicity to their advantage. If I would have said Colter and Bill O'reilly, I figured I'd have conservatives complaining.

One could argue that they're both shock jocks, but Coulter's shocks are delivered in ways that could really hurt and maim people, even kill them. That's what inciting violence is, after all.

Fair enough, but in terms of Howard Stern the term "shock jock" is long out of date. If it ever applied at all. He was much more outrageous back in the 1980s. These days he still has lesbian dial-a-date sort of stuff but most of the time he's very tame--talking about American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. Ann Coulter's evil whereas Howard's become fairly dull.

Ok. I admit I know next to nothing about their current activities. I recently discovered the story of Alan Berg, and it got me wondering: do "liberal" shock jocks now have a limit they won't go beyond as a result of what happened to Berg?
