Ron Paul needs donations badly. He has to take on candidates with 5 times more money than him who have been bought by special interest groups and the far right voting block that has the biggest influence over the who will be nominated to run on the Republican ticket. Ron is garnering a huge number of supporters, but we need to support his candidacy financially, or he can't compete.

Corporate greed is bad, I don't think anybody will disagree with that. Government greed is worse though. Corporations go bankrupt, when a government agency becomes ineffective, your taxes simply get raised. You never have any choice at all about paying the government, you have a choice with a corporation as long as it's a truly private corporations. Haliburton, for example, is not a private corporation, it's a government subsidized entity which you're FORCED to pay for.

In addition to the points made by AK47FULLAUTO and others, it's important to understand that monetary power is different from political power. Political power has the force of a gun behind it. Economic power (such as that possessed by WalMart) is merely the power to offer something in voluntary exchange for something else. It is only the role of government to restrain force, not wealth. If Government were to restrain wealth too, then we would be right back to having our freedoms in jeopardy.

Big corporations get big by Government subsidies -- which Ron Paul opposes Regulations that small busineses can't afford --which Ron Paul also opposes. Protectionistic tarrifs that limit competition -- which Paul opposes. Cities using emminent domain to steal land to give to big businesses -- which paul also opposes. Etc.

So it is unlawful to harm peoples property, thus many companies are in violation of the constitution at this time..
