I say "49 state" because I live in Texas, and I have yet to see any serious push by the DNC to try and take back this very winnable state. pissysteve ::: Favorites The Republicans did NOT want Bush to face Howard Dean in the '04 election. He would have been destroyed by Dean. That's why the media sensationalized and exaggerated the scream incident (by cutting out the crowd noise audio) ad nauseam: to destroy Dean before he could destroy Bush. Teesie1007 ::: Favorites I was a caucus leader in Iowa for Howard Dean. After the close, about 200 of us went to a bar and watched the infamous scream but because we were all screaming along with him we didn't hear him above everyone else. When I got home that night I saw the footage of the scream where the networks subdued the background noise so he sounded maniacal. I believe the Republicans stole the last two elections, but I think it was the DLC who sabotaged Dean -- Kerry was their boy. 07-08-15 00:52:47 _____________________________________________________
