I had no idea what this did but being cynical and knowing wot ur like I thoought I best check it out. Funny yea, but bear in mind there are kids on here that that will type that not having a clue. You gota be responsible emeek. Funnily enuff pc users have fdisk (F being for shag!) which is very effective and does the same thing in about 1 second! I will say that MS did that get command right, lets get Windoze off as fast as possible! Bleugh!

my point is 99% of the average users use the first admin account as the starndard user so there fore the command would execute itself thus when they put there password in!

It requires the admin password, not the user password. And while root has no password, it's also disabled and unable to be accessed until enabled (which also requires an administrative password).

for os x doenst it require the standard user password due to root being un passworded ? just a suggestion =). i remember awhile back doing it and it used my standard users password not roots =).
