Description: PART-3 of 4 Senator Gravel appeared on Washington Journal with Rob Harleston this morning from 7:30 to 8:00 est. He answered questions from Rob as well as from guest callers. A few of the questions concerned the Iraq War and the senator reiterated his plan to withdraw troops and proceed diplomatically as it is in the best interest of both US troops and Iraqi civilians. Other questions from callers concerned same sex marriage (FULL MARRIAGE RIGHTS for all Americans), MARIJAUNA LEGALIZATION (decriminalize marijuana and fund rehabilitation), illegal immigration (protect our borders, stem the flow of undocumented immigrants, fix NAFTA), government secrecy (open up the files) and Native American rights. Senator Gravel spoke extensively on the NATIONAL INITIATIVE and of the record of fellow democrats in the race, particularly Hillary Clinton. He also mentioned Gov. Vilsack dropping out and the influence of money and media on the race. |

snapescat ::: Favorites hm. i'm thinking that i like him but bill richardson's the only one who's said he'd put an indian in cabinet. non-native people giving native people land and money can only do so much, they ought to let the natives grant themselves those benefits and that'll start by putting a native in that position of power they've been denied. 07-09-09 00:26:28 __________________________________________________
logosjunkie ::: Favorites this person needs more attention. he's talking about issues in an honest way that no other candidate is talking about. he's not the most eloquent, but he doesn't shit people around 07-09-03 15:45:20 __________________________________________________
Commando303X ::: Favorites Fucking great. 07-09-02 02:26:31 __________________________________________________
mickeymouse123 ::: Favorites and with taxing; all theyre doing is STEALING OUR MONEY! dont you understand? they take away so much money from us and then go spend it on BOMBING COUNTRIES FOR NO REASON. we need change, cuz this government is straight up CORRUPT. 07-06-22 19:59:47 __________________________________________________
mickeymouse123 ::: Favorites wow we need him to be our pres. were losing millions of soldiers to iraq for NO reason. WE invaded IRAQ.they didnt threaten us. we're losing millions of people to jails, for SMOKING A PLANT.its bullshit people have to pay SO much money for legal fees because they smoke a PLANT.when its HARMLESS.people should be able to choose what they do w/ their life. weed has never directly killed someone, & theres no reason they should be able to tell us what to do w/ things like that. 07-06-22 19:58:47 __________________________________________________
ParadeRainer ::: Favorites As for the two Governors becoming independents as far as I know only one of the 50 Governors in the U.S. has become an independent in the last few days and that's New York's Governor Michael Bloomberg. The reason for it is more than likely that he's preparing for a Presidential run this upcoming election as an independent. Could be interesting, though I'm not really a fan of Bloomberg. 07-06-22 17:33:46 __________________________________________________
ParadeRainer ::: Favorites Both Gravel and Dr. Paul do speak from the heart, that is true, and both want real change -- it's just that they fundamentally disagree on the change that's needed. 07-06-22 17:33:15 __________________________________________________
MLBinwa ::: Favorites Thanks for the info. I do not know much about Gravel, just thought he sounded like he wanted real change. Ron Paul does have a chance to make many people think. I am in France right now, but did read that two governors are beccoming independants. Most of us know we need real change and not party politics as usual. If not now, it may be too late. 07-06-22 13:35:23 __________________________________________________
heinj98 ::: Favorites Plus, if he wants to prosecute the Bush administration, I say power to him. It would be nice to see Bush and his cronies in an orange jump suit. 07-06-22 09:07:08 __________________________________________________
ParadeRainer ::: Favorites And, yes, I am more concerned about Bush because he is President, but that doesn't change that Gravel said what he said and you can't ignore what he said! You can't say "well, Bush has done X, Y and Z bad things and since he's President and far worse we can ignore what Gravel said!" That's avoiding the issue and that argument doesn't what. And I'm not perceiving a damn thing. Gravel said what he said. He used those words. It couldn't be more clear. Nothing is perceived. 07-06-22 09:04:32 __________________________________________________ |
