There are more methods than shown here including using LiveCD versions of Linux (like Auditor Security Collection), bootable USB drives, network sniffing, or gaining access to your harddrive directly and stealing the password hashes. Yup, in fact, ophcrack can be better.... but if the computer is old and slow, being able to take it to another (faster) computer would be beneficial.

lol.... The local system Administrator won't be logged on the network and will allow you to do whatever you want on that computer. You can even use it in the "runas" command. As far as I'm concerned, XP SP2 is the only XP... lol. either way, good point and thanx for the correction.

oh and ur wrong it actualy isnt dissabled in xp pro, it was only dissabled when companies spammed with it, which was SP2 or SP1 i cant remember, but in the standard xp pro no SP it is enabled still even though its fkn ancient

i meant when u log in as the admin they can check the users that are logged into the network thats how u get caught by using it, they wait till u log in

lol... you mean "net send" lol.... best part is that it is disabled in XP Pro and up (its a VERY old command). beyond that, this isn't logable beyond "the computer shut off at X and booted at Y" which could be anything. Also, often if you are in a large district, websites, for example, wont get blocked if only say 4 ppl know about it because they dont have enough time to check every site people visit. But relying on that is not a good idea...

its pretty easy 2 get caught, its all logged, so once they see somone online they come n get u happend at my highschool when u did the umm NETSENT command and it sent to EVERY1 in the whole school at once 30seconds later ud see the techs running into the room dragging a kid to the principal LOL

Not quite, but you could get the local computer Administrator password, or maybe grab the password of an instructor or admin if your lucky. You'll also end up with a LOT of student passwords. Beyond that, you could get expelled or put in jail if your caught. (Easy to get away with at your local HS, but not so much at a University)
